Running Bond Pattern

The easiest pattern to install β€” offset joints like a brick wall. Great for pathways, patios, and rectangular spaces. Low waste, simple layout.

The Pattern
Running bond β€” the simplest layout

Running bond is the most straightforward pattern for natural stone installation. Each row offsets by half a paver length from the row above β€” the same principle as standard brick laying. It produces clean, readable lines and works well in rectangular spaces where the pattern can align with the longest dimension of the area.
